The Shipp family on their own Shipp Outdoor billboard at night

A family that builds billboards.

Shipp Outdoor has been putting advertisers on the region's busiest roads since 2012. Not a branch office. Not a regional division. A Texarkana family that owns its structures, handles the maintenance, creates the proposals, built this website and everything in between.

It started in August 2012, when Chad Shipp - twenty years into a marketing and media career - saw an opportunity to acquire billboard assets of Whatley Sign Co. of Texarkana with a simple idea: stop renting the media and become it. Six months later, Shipp Outdoor acquired assets of Bing Outdoor in Shreveport-Bossier.

Shipp Outdoor built the first digital billboard in Texarkana, AR - converting one of the Whatley static structures to a double-sided 12x40 digital on each face in 2013 - and has been growing its digital network slowly and strategically since.

The network has grown board by board - new builds, acquisitions, new markets, and in time the largest digital footprint of any operator across both anchor cities of the Shreveport-Texarkana DMA. No, we don't claim to have the highest number of digitals in the region, but our footprint is the broadest.

Today, the network runs 74 total faces across four states - eighteen digital screens and fifty-six static bulletins - from Caddo Valley, Arkansas down I-30 through Texarkana, to the Shreveport, LA Automall.

Every face is audited by Geopath. The impressions we quote are third-party measured using many high-tech methodologies including mobile phone data.
